This careers Expo was started in 1992 by Rotary Club of Tamworth First Light as a community project.

It has had a number of name changes. Originally the Tamworth Careers Expo, Tamworth Regional Career and Business Expo it has been renamed to Northwest Regional Careers Expo commencing 2017.
